I built my first website when I decided to cycle across the world, I built it and then came trying to find hosting. I found it hard to find a decent hosting company that was:

• Cheap
• Reliable
• Excellent support
• Excellent uptime

I can’t remember who my first hosting was but it didn’t last long. It was confusing to navigate, setup and my website was slow and support was crap. I quickly moved around to various different web hosts. It wasn’t until I found Pixeno and Bluehost that my hosting worries were over. So because of these troubles, I have decided to write a Bluehost review so hopefully you can avoid moving from one hosting company to another.

So lets get started with the Bluehost review.

Below are the main features of Bluehost. As you can see you’re getting a good value for money with prices as low as $4.95 a month although the most common hosting package is $6.95. This is due to the amount of time you sign up for. The longer you sign up the cheaper it is.

These are the main features that Bluehost offers, it’s a pretty decent list. I plan on expanding my minisites with Bluehost based on their unlimited domains feature. Of course it’s not really unlimited but it will be enough for 99.9% of users without any additional worry.

One of the features I like with Bluehost is if you’re just starting your blog they will offer you a free domain name for free for one year. This is great start if you’re new to blogging or creating your first ever website. But it’s also handy if you’re a newbie to Bluehost to test out a niche if you are involved with affiliate marketing at all.

Here’s the pricing structure for Bluehost. As you can see the longer you sign up for the cheaper it gets with 36 months being $6.99 a month that’s just $83.88 a year for as many websites as you wish. Bargin. While this hosting will be good for most small sites, at the end of the day you get what you pay for and this package wouldn’t suit a high traffic website. But for starting out or looking to grow your traffic at an affordable rate then Bluehost would be perfect for you. When your blog grows Bluehost also offer upgraded hosting packages which might better suit your needs.

With cheap hosting I find one of the most important things is the support. Bluehost are famous for their customer support with reported hold times of less than 30 seconds it’s one of the fastest customer support responses I’ve experienced.

My Bluehost experience

After signing up for 1 year with Bluehost, only $6.95 a month I had my websites transferred from GoDaddy and used Bluehosts free domain service once you sign up. I now have 5 domains on my Bluehost account and once the Nameservers had gone through I had all websites live and running within 1 hour. I did get confused though along the way with a new setup but their customer suport was excellent, even at 1am!

I will be staying with Bluehost for a long time I think.

Bluehost has an excellent reputation with equally good uptime and customer service and for the cheap price they offer it’s  a no brainer for anyone wanting to move to a cheaper serve or just get started. I will be reporting more in this Bluehost review on new features or offers that are currently available.
